EZ-Turn for Drivers
Summary
EZ-Turn helps rideshare drivers earn extra money by connecting them with people who want to send their returns back to the store. Ultimately, this product aims to find an alternative means to legacy models for returning retail purchases.
Problem
As retail purchases become easier and delivery becomes more efficient, models for returning merchandise have generally stayed the same. Models that companies like FedEx or UPS use, show increased times to process returns, and can sometimes take up to, and exceed, 90 days for merchandise to return to the shelf. This delay causes retailers to lose revenue, especially for higher ticketed items such as seasonal party clothes, special event dresses, and high-end footwear.
Design Question
How might we leverage ridesharing networks to reduce costs associated with returns for premium retailers, while increasing money opportunities for drivers, and reducing the time it takes for merchandise to return to the shelf?
Goals
Research & Investigation
Some activities during the research stage included literature reviews, surveys, interviews, competitive product analysis, service blueprints creations, and creating value-proposition business canvas models. Conducting research allowed my team to investigate various user types, including retailers, drivers, and consumers. This research helped lead our decision making to build out certain features for the product.

Outcome
I followed a user-centered design process leveraging the stages of Research, Ideation, Prototyping, and Usability Studies. All iOS screens were created using Sketch, and the poster was created using Adobe Illustrator. My main deliverables were user research, concept generation, mobile interface design, poster design, usability testing, and documentation of the project process.
